I'd just accept an offer from Abex as an application specialist in cardiac. Soon i'll be leaving my lovely friends in PPUKM. I'm going to miss all the sweet memories with them. They are all nice to me all these years. The professors, specialists, specialist-to-be's , the houseman, officers, sonographers, staff nurses, clinic assistants, ppukm nannies, guards and each and everyone I know. It's hard to believe that I am going to leave this centre as I truly love working as a sonographer here. But, there is something that makes me have to go on. If it means I have to go somewhere else, I have to do so. For me, for my husband, for my son and for my family. To change my destiny for the best of all.

Private Sector v/s Gov Sector
This morning, I'd just got a phone call from my senior sonographer. She ask me if I'm interested in finding new job with new challenges. I thought she was just kidding with me. But it was totally not a joke and it's real! She was offering me a job with this big company! I'd always thinking about getting a job from this company but never had a nerve to do so since I am not a risk taker. I love challenges but I rather stick to the comfort zone I 've been in all this while. But working for almost 7 years in gov sector, makes me craving for something more in every aspect. Salary wise is for sure. It is an application specialist they are offering. Since I love meeting new people, I guess this is the best job offer for me. What you guys think? Should I go for it?

MFM Meeting 2010
We just had a meeting with our Head of Unit. The meeting went well of course. I'm glad that every opinion I made were being heard by everyone in the meeting. We are going to organised a basic course end of this year and I really can't wait! I love doing this kind of activities especially in sharing and gaining knowledge. Hope can update with you the details very soon and also hoping that the participant may be YOU!

Details Scan
Just finished doing my details scan for today. We have 7 patients and I did 5 of them. For some patients, it was such a bless because I could scan everything in just 35-45 minutes. But, for some patients, I needed more patience and focus on getting the details. It hurted my arm pretty much. But, that's what makes me sonographer... No pain, no gain! Well, it's okay with 5 minutes rest before the next patient. I asked my fellow specialist about one case which the patient is only 20 weeks POA but it was so hard to visualize the fetus clearly and he asked me to do a study to solve the riddle in my head. Yup, I will do that and hoping that I will find something new!

NT Scan
Arggh!!! I almost injured my muscle while doing the NT scan just now. I had 2 patients with thick adiposity which cost me a real struggle to get the right angle for NT. Unfortunately, I couldn't press too hard because of the previous scar. So, I only managed to get 1 good NT fro a really skinny patient (:o) and the other two, I just had to ask them to come again later this week hoping that luck will be on my side to get the Nt and get it done!

Final Year Medical student exams....
This week, I was involved with the student's exam. Just as a person in-charge for the short cases exam. This year, they change to a new format which is manned OSCE. Thank God they come up with this brilliant idea. before, I was busy like nobody bussiness. Running here and there to make sure the patients' list is always updated. At the end of the day, i was too tired. But the new format really helps a lot! I don't need to running and rushing anymore. It is much much better and smooth and peacefull.... All I have to do, is to make sure that they are all in their place and just be there if any department need my help. But so far, we managed smoothly. So, i wish all the students the very best of luck! You all are the new generation of medical doctors we hope to help the nation.

3D image
Ni detail scan yang aku buat untuk one chinese patient. She is diabetic so, the liquor is a bit high. I took this big chance to capture some photos for the mother. And this is the result. I was pretty happy to get this photo. Not only the mother was so happy, I was too....I should say, this is the biggest success so far in capturing the prenatal photos...:0)

ISUOG Congress In Singapore.-Part 2
Yesterday, I had spent the rest evening just to book a nice and affordable room in Sentosa Island. The rates in Sentosa is way too pricey. But still, I managed to get a good room for about RM300 per night for two. Isn't it great?? It's Siloso Beach Resort. Nearby the Universal Studio which been said to be opened sometime in March. The congress will be held in Capella Singapore. A 5 star hotel. Very expensive... I hope i can manage the transportation to and fro for the congress. Very hoping for the best luck! The fee is S$300 for sonographer. So, it's quite cheap for oversea course/ congress. The flight ticket is just RM183. So, everything prepared. Just waiting in patient for the 14th April. Hmm, I am so excited everytime I got a chance to attend any course or congress in ultrasound. I am so passionate about ultrasound and will always hungry for new knowledge...

ISUOG Congress In Singapore.
Yesterday, my friend told me to fill a form for a Congress. It will be held in Singapore. Actually Im not in a good financial state since a lot of things to settle down after buying a house ( just a small one actually). But, since my Head of Unit said that we can get cheaper fee if we register in group, then I think why shouldn't I? There goes my credit card for S$300. I told my husband about this before. Afzal is 1 year and 8 months by the time i'll be going there. Just for 3 days and he'll be okay. Btw, my MIL would be so much glad to have her fav grandson to stay with her for a weekend. I'm so excited now, knowing that it is still a long way to go. It is on April! and this is going to be my very first oversea course for me. Wish me all the best!

Sejak tu, aku sentiasa belajar benda baru. Semua staf kat scan room memang tak lokek ilmu. So, bermula lah episod hidup aku as a sonographer...

kursus....
hari ni aku bersemangat sket walaupun still feel sleepy.dah berminggu tak cukup tidur. not exactly sebab afzal la...it's actually sebab aku tanak sampai keje lewat. so i have to make sure that aku keluar rumah at 6.15am.so boleh sampai dalam 7.15am. hari ni jumaat so, our clinic takde patients sangat. tadi just buat 2 orang patients who came for post menopausal follow up and family planning clinic.then just tolong prof for klinik pakar punye detail scan. yang tak bestnye, datang la sorang houseman yang tak reti nak berbudi bahasa saying that she has detail scan today. tapi tak note dalam app. book. so, aku tanya la mana dapat app, dia marah plak.hiss...kita berbahasa dia nak naik angin plak.sudahnya, aku pass je la kat klinik dia untuk tentukan masalah dia...aku cuma memastikan perjalanan scan berjalan lancar di bilik scan.tapi untuk hal-hal appointment dari klinik pakar, biarlah mereka menjalankan tanggungjawab mereka dengan telus...aku ni bertugas di government wing...not private wing....
tadi, kak fahya told me to apply for ultrasound course.bagus jugak! there are 2 courses. basic and advanced.i think i'm going both of them.barulah aku certified....keje ultrasound ni memang best. tapi, kena ada minat and kepakaran and the skill have to be approved by any established ultrasound organisation.then, you can proudly do your job. senang sket bila dah certified ni.you'll be more confident...jangan over confident dah la....
